CFC customers hold unrivalled confidence as they become the first to win international security award

CFC Solutions has become the first company in the fleet software sector to obtain an internationally renowned award, in recognition of the measures taken to protect sensitive customer data – a standard some leading financial institutions have only recently obtained.

The ISO 27001 accreditation – the International Standard for Information Security Techniques and Management – is designed to "provide a model for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining, and improving an information security management system" according to the International Organisation for Standardisation, the awarding body.

Gaining the award has meant CFC examining all the processes used within the company and by its customers closely, amending them where needed in order to meet strict requirements.  Despite previous security measures being the strictest within the fleet industry, ISO 27001, taking hundreds of hours to achieve, now ensures that CFC conform to the highest security standards available within modern business today – sharing this standard with key financial institutions and governmental entities.

CFC managing director Neville Briggs explained: “Essentially, the accreditation confirms that any information we hold on behalf of our customers has been made secure to a very high standard, with no access or usage by any other entity.

“As we move towards providing more of our products on a software-as-a-service basis, meaning that we hold essential fleet information on our servers rather than customers storing it on their own machines, having a robust security approach becomes essential. The introduction of Licence Link earlier this year highlighted how our industry is increasingly relying on automation of systems, all holding highly sensitive data – does your fleet management software protect this information?”

“ISO 27001 means that our customers can have the highest degree of confidence that the data that we hold about their drivers, vehicles and activities is well protected from both malicious attack and in the unlikely event of a system failure.”

“Of late, our current customers, as well as new prospects, have confirmed that security plays a large part in selecting which fleet software provider suits their requirements.  The feedback we are receiving is that the ISO 27001 accreditation further confirms their choice in selecting CFC.  This further strengthens our offering to our customers, with ISO 9001 quality standard accreditation and our Microsoft Gold Partnership; customers can be assured that their data is secure, that we operate to the highest quality standards, and that Microsoft values us as a close partner in using their technology within our products.”

“Within CFC we strive to provide our customers with the highest quality solution possible.  Our previous security processes were unrivalled within the market, but wanted to ensure customers received the highest security standards available.  We’ve done that. It is clear to our customers that we continue to lead the fleet software market”
